Sam nodded slowly, listening to Stephs voice, his mind wandering slowly away from where they were, before snapping back into position. "How did you find today, then?" He said quietly, not wanting to break the peace, the quiteness of the wind, the sound of the lake's water's moving to and fro, birds chattering in the distance, the perfectness of it all. And it was, really. One of the best things was this could, literaly, last forever...

Steph just sat there quietly for a moment, apparently lost in thought once more. So apparently Steph could do the things she wanted to do even if she was still mortal. Now that she was immortal, she could do so much more. She could travel everywhere without wasting time, she could take nearly an eternity working on spells and potions. Chances are she wouldn't work on those until she finally got her life settled out. "It took me awhile. I told you I still have to get used to this." She let out a small laugh and kissed Sam's cheek. Things couldn't get any better for Steph right now.

Smiling, Sam said, "Well, lets hope you get used to it soon, y-yeh?" He hugged her tighter for a second, not uncomfortably, and ran his fingers through her hair once more. It came so naturally to him now, and it hadn't been very long that he had known Steph! He looked at her now, through different eyes that had laid sight upon her when they had first met. She was beautiful, nothing could doubt that, not now. Very quietly, almost unhearable, Sam said, ending a quote, "...To love and be loved in return..."

For some reason, Sam had done so much for her, just so she could be here with him. There had to be some way she could repay him in return for all of this. For now, she was going to worry about that later, trying to enjoy the moment. "Don't worry. I'll get used to it soon enough." She looked back up at him, not believing that she fell in love with such an incredible man. Also he had changed so much ever since they first met. She knew he changed from a boy into a man in such short time. Maybe that was what she had done to repay him. "There is no remedy for love but to love more." Another quote to add to the conversation.

Sam kept smiling, looking at her, into her eyes, wonderful pools of blue. He leaned down slightly, kissing her lightly on the lips, still feeling the rush that he felt as his lips touched hers. He pressed down very very gently, before releasing slowly, pulling away until his nose just touched hers. His eyes had never left hers through this. "Within you I lose myself. Without you I find myself, wanting to be lost again." He whispered, kissing her again.

Steph was very intrigued with them talking in famous quotes. She could barely believe that this was the Sam that she fell in love with. It wasn't bad, actually she loved him no matter what happened to him. Though with that second kiss, she kissed him back, a little more passionately than before. However she needed air, so she reluctantly took her lips off of his, but only about an inch or so. " The most eloquent silence; that of two mouths meeting in a kiss."

"We all change," Sam said quietly, breathlessly. "The trick is to love a changed person..." He kissed her again, only gently this time, and when he moved away, he kissed her nose delicately, and then her forehead, before kissing her passionately, though not overmuch, on the lips again. His heart was fluttering, his thoughts swimming, but he loved it, adored it. He felt he needed to be with her, and thankfully, that would probably happen.

"Well..." Steph said after getting some air from that last passionate kiss. "You love simply because you cannot help it." Again, she kissed him gently on the lips, and then one on each cheek soon afterward. Her heart was racing and her stomach had butterflies. That was the feeling she had longed for, and now she finally felt it. There was no possible way she could stay away from Sam, he was addictive. Then she kissed him passionately on the lips again, but only gently.

"I th-think we should stop with the quotes," Sam said, breathing out slowly, nearly laughing quietly. "I can't remember a-anymore." He smiled, kissing her again. When he parted, seconds, minutes, he couldn't tell, later, he held her close. "I'll never let go..." He murmered quietly, kissing the top of her head. Her hair was soft, silky. He breathed in her scent, and breathed out again, reluctantly. Still he could hear the lake, the wind, but the birds had stopped singing. They'd flown off a while ago, but he hadn't noticed until now.

Steph let out a small laugh as Sam finally broke the silence. Before she even tried to speak again, she was kissing Sam once more. It felt good to relieve her of what she hated most, not kissing Sam. She was laying against Sam's chest, feeling his currently steady heartbeat. The beat seemed to calm her down, which was nice. She too, was completely unaware of the time until she finally thought of it. Looking out toward the lake, she could tell by the light that it was almost sunset. For now, she just decided to relax and lay against Sam. "So the sunset is finally here again..." She whispered.

Nodding, Sam replied, "Just as beautiful, yet seen through n-new eyes..." He glanced down at Steph quickly before looking back at the sunset. "I really n-need to repay you s-somehow..." He said, almost murmering, afraid that, somehow, Steoh would take this to mean something bad. He shouldn't, really, have brought it up now, but it had also felt like the right moment, and he had learnt to go with instinct. He could feel her head on his chest. He could feel her breathing as well. Please don't wake up...

Steph looked back up at Sam, a small smile plastered on her face. "You already have Sam. You helped me become immortal. And I have you, I couldn't ask for anything more." A wider smile now on her face, she knew he didn't mean it as offensive. Then she turned to look back out at the falling sun. The colors of the sky in their usual, beautiful patterns. And the clouds in their new color as well. For now, she was content with life, considering that she has it forever.

Sam sighed almost silently, but happily. He ran his fingers, yet again, through Stephs hair, kissing the side of her head. "This is nice..." He said quietly, breathing out heavily. The sun was... Perfect. He couldn't help letting out a little laugh. Everything seemed so perfect today. Which was unusual, for him, but he would, he thought, be getting used to it. He took Stephs hand in his, squeezing it gently, and laying it to rest on his lower thigh, after kissing it.

That laugh was something Steph hardly heard from Sam, it was so good to hear it. There really wasn't much she could add to this perfect day. Now, she just laid there against Sam's chest, watching the last bits of the sun fall below the horizon. "My second favorite time of day. The favorite has yet to come." Once the sun had disappeared and the short period of twilight was here, she looked up at Sam and kissed him on the cheek. Then she looked up into the sky and noticed a couple stars had appeared since the sun had fallen.

Feeling the cold creeping over them, Sam pulled Steph closer to him, holding her closer than he had before, lying on the grass on his side so they were facing each other, the lake lapping against the banks now that the wind had died was all so clearer. He looked away from her for a second, looking up at the sky, and saw a shooting star. He closed his eyes, breathed out, and opened them again, looking back at Steph. He felt a wave of dizziness pass over him, but he fought over it, and it passed without showing on his face, except in his eyes, which rolled, but only for a second.
