"Cheryl," she said, putting a am firmly on each shoulder of her friend and looking straigh at her. "You're panicing." she told her, her voice cool and careful, almost like a parent, "Even if your parents know then you shouldn't worry. It'll help you admit it, and help you through it. Besides, how would they know? Even I didn't know, Cheryl!" she said.
Her speach over, she let go of Cheryl with a long breath out, looking at her for a moment, then to the letter with a nod. Cheryl had to open the letter when she was as calm as she ever was going to be.

"I know that it's a step to recovery but my parents...you have no idea how there are. For the most part, they're easy going until," she sighed. "Until you do something completely irresponsible and awful like I have. I honestly don't know how they'll have found out but I'm pretty sure that letter is from them telling me off!" She stood up from the bed she was sitting on and slowly made her way to the window, where the owl was patiently awaiting to present its delivery. As she unclasped the lock and opened the window, the owl hooted happily, hopped inside and dropped the letter that was held in its beak. "Erm...thanks, I think." she told the bird and fed it an owl treat. She watched it fly away before looking at the letter, then to Hannah. "At least it's not a Howler!" she laughed, even though she was quite scared. Cheryl took a deep breath, hastily picked up the letter as if it were coated with slime and began to read it. Slowly, a smirk spread across her face. "It's just a letter from them telling me that there's going to be a huge sale at a clothes shop in Hogsmeade this weekend. They said I should go because I could save a lot, because it happens to be my favorite boutique! I’ve probably spent hundreds there!"

Hannah had been nervous for Cheryl. She was terrified that she'd been giing the wrong advice, and things weren't going to be alright. Only when she was positive that the letter wasn't about her did she manage to take breathe out, licking back her fringe. "See, I told you. You're completely blowing this all out propertion. You'll get through this and look back and laugh." she told her, trying to hide the fact that she'd been afraid for her too. "Still," she continued, walking up to Cheryl and reading the letter over her shoulder, "You really should tell them. They won't be angry if you admit it, but they will if they have to find out."
