open;;
Christine had left Floyd, her stomach twisting and churning in worry. She knew how that boy could act, and knew the kind of trouble he could get himself in to. His godly smile and oblivious innocence could easily put an angel to shame, and she knew there were some that could easily take advantage of that fact. Shaking her head of the thoughts Chris continued forward, ambling down the cobbled roads in search of something she could fix for dinner for the two of them.
She wandered from vendor to vendor thinking of ideas, but could hardly concentrate to the mess of her own thoughts swirling in her head. David had been pushing her buttons lately, and it infuriated Chris to no end. 'That uncaring bastard.' she felt herself growl internally, a scowl twisting delicate features. Out of habit her hands automatically went to her hair, and yanked the ponytail tight before letting the soft curls caress the top of her red tank top again. Christine couldn't help messing with her hair when she was irritated or nervous. It was one way David could read when he was pushing things too far, and boy did he just love to push the envelop. Although usually the two got along pretty well, they had different opinions on a few things. Floyd was just one of those examples, and neither were willing to back down on what they believed was good for him.
Chris shook her head, trying to dispel the thoughts of her brothers. She was on vacation, and she was going to enjoy it whether she liked it or not! Brown eyes gazed upon the flourishing market with interest. It was filled with people ambling down the roads as if there was not a worry in the world that could bring them down. Most were dressed in the least amount of clothing as possible, while others just walked around in bathing suits. Chris would hardly find herself surprised to see someone walk by naked under the sweltering heat of summer. The smell regardless of the heat was enticing though. Fresh food wafted through the air, and the soft smell of an early morning rain still clung to place. The sound of sizzling food and people alike was nearly tangible in the air, and the calling of people trying to sell their wares was a thick in the air. Even the chatter of those right beside you was nearly drowned out among the commotion of the town center.
Forcing herself to gaze upon the stands rather than the bustling locals she looked around her once again, thinking rather forcefully on what she could cook for dinner. "Maybe some fresh seafood," she muttered to herself gazing upon a fresh catch of crab. Hands absently fretted with the pocket of her shorts which held her money, the distraction of fresh food enough to keep her attention from the person standing beside her gazing at the same thing.
ooc;; I'm not sure how good this post is. It's nearly New Years, and my mind is running on empty. If no one's posted back to it by tomorrow I'll probably fix it up a bit.
Till then, cheers!
