Name: Lizbeth Green
Age: 16
Year: 5th
Personality: Lizbeth Green is a very unique person. She has extraordinary blue eyes that change with her mood, making it impossible to hide what she's feeling. In her long, jet-black hair she usually has some kind of unusually colored highlights. She tends to keep to herself due to the fact that she's afraid to get close to anyone. She fears losing those she loves because she's had a dark past. This has made her a somewhat dark person, and she is usually deeply depressed. She usually wears dark makeup, making her blue eyes startling, so her eyes are usually what others notice about her. Even though she usually keeps quiet, she's by no means shy, and she doesn't mind speaking her mind. She's amazing at keeping secrets because she understands what it feels like when something personal goes public. She'll treat you like you treat her, so if you're kind to her she'll be nice to you, but if you're rude or mean to her, she'll be your worst nightmare. She's a pureblood witch, but she's not biased against muggle-borns, and she dislikes people who are. Lizbeth loves to draw and write, but her stories usually end in death or rejection.
History: When Lizbeth was 10 years old, her mother, Lynn, was murdered by Merissa Mudde, her future stepmother. She was the only one that knew this, and nobody believed her because everybody thought Lynn had committed suicide.
About a year later, her father, Edmund, and Merissa [often referred to as The Demon by Lizbeth] got married. Before the wedding, Lizbeth begged her father not to marry her because she feared The Demon was only marrying him for his money, and would murder him the first chance she got. Her dad shrugged her off by laughing and saying that Merissa would never do such a thing. All throughout the wedding, Lizbeth could not stop crying.
That night, Lizbeth planned to commit suicide, and would have succeeded if it weren't for her mother. Yes, her mother. As Lizbeth was sitting on her bed with the knife that would end her life, her mother's spirit came to her. "She took my life, don't let her take yours," Lynn had said. Lizbeth deeply loved her mother, and she could see in her transparent, pale features how sad she was that Merissa had almost caused her beloved daughter so much pain. As her mother's spirit faded away, Lizbeth found the strength to keep living.
Even though Lizbeth's father had married her worst nightmare, him and Lizbeth had a great relationship. He would take her to muggle amusement parks simply because she loved them. To this day, she can't stand the sight of a roller coaster without bursting out in tears, because 3 years after Edmund and Merissa got married, she murdered him too.
Lizbeth could still recall every detail of that night. How Merissa had called them all to the dining room for a "family meeting." The way Merissa's smile had a demented tint to it. The loud bang of the gunshot, her father's dying shouts, the menacing way she told Lizbeth not to tell anybody or she'd be next. [Merissa had decided that killing both the father and daughter would be too much of a giveaway.] Merissa managed to convince the public that her father had committed suicide too because he felt guilty about his last wife's death, and again, nobody would listen to Lizbeth.
Merissa then had custody of Lizbeth, and always tried to dress her up in short jean skirts and the muggle brand "Hollister," but Lizbeth much preferred wearing dark, unusual clothes. She'd started wearing extremely dark makeup and never wore much other than black, so The Demon started referring to her as "Gothabeth." Lizbeth didn't mind the nickname. Anything that annoyed The Demon was fine with her.
Merissa had tried to home school Lizbeth for the past 5 years, but she could never get her to do much. Lizbeth turned 16, and Merissa got so sick of her that she decided she would try to send her to Hogwarts.
Roleplay Sample: "Wake UP!" screamed Merissa, who was obviously getting tired of this morning routine.
"Ask nicely, or I'll do no such thing," Lizbeth said, an amused smile tugging at her lips. She would never get tired of angering The Demon.
As Merissa stormed out of the room, Lizbeth decided she might as well get up after that rude awakening. She needed to finish her latest story anyways. As she got out of her bed, her straight black hair falling down her back, she was startled to see a boy with dark brown hair and hazel eyes standing at her doorway.
"Err, hi.." Lizbeth said akwardly.
"Hey," said the boy. "I'm Zack. I just moved here, so I don't really know my way around, and I've heard you've lived here all your life. Would you mind showing me around town? Err... after you get dressed, i mean." Lizbeth was in her pajamas.
About 15 minutes later, Lizbeth was ready to go. As they walked through town, she realized how much they had in common. After only about an hour, they could finish each others sentences. As they stopped at a cafe, she noticed his eyes on her as she took off her coat, following her hair as it fell. She felt extremely akward when she realized she was watching him too. As they sipped their coffee, she found that she liked this boy. Wait... she wasn't supposed to LIKE him...
"I have to go." Lizbeth said as she suddenly stood up, throwing some muggle money down to pay for her drink. And, without another word, she ran off, not even remembering to pick up her coat.
[I'm new at this, so I probably didn't do too well here =/]
