Cheryl sat in the nice warm cozy couch that was in the chalet. It was quite inviting after a day of skiing...or rather a sad attempt at it. She was wondering if she would see anyone from school because it seemed that they were all at the warm side, the beach.

"Cheryl!" she called, seeing her friend on the other side of the room, she walked over quickly, taking off her thick gloves as she did so. Her pale skin had never coped very well with the sun, and she always felt more comfortable in the cold. Even without having the bravery of being able to ski, she'd still managed to have some fun during this holiday.
At least she was away from home.
A wide smile was spread across her face: it was the sort of childishly cruel smile you might find on someone planning an awful prank. The expression looked strange on Hannah, but it was persist as she nonchalantly commented, "Did you happen to see who won the house-cup?"

"Hannah!" Cheryl smiled, "It's great to see you, i haven't talked to you in ages!" "Yes, I saw who won the house cup...." she said quietly and then sighed. "I guess we'll be going to Hogsmeade soon then, aren't we?" she laughed. "It's odd, I made a bet to beat the house who happened to get the most amount of points!"she said as she took a sip of her hot chocolate.

She was still smiling, silently gloating in the pride of her house. She'd never once doubted that Hufflepuff would have won in the end, but that's what it meant to be a loyal Hufflepuff.
"Yep. As you're going to be paying a lot later, then I'll let you decide when," she said, trying to be as good a sportsman as possible, without coming across as a bad winner. In truth, it was just good to have something to avoid her thinking about home and Jason and prison and the murder and her mother.... Although she knew she could no longer hide her feelings, she still didn't want to be reminded of them.
"You should have known Hufflepuff would win." she persisted, "We're the only house able to keep a hold of our points, apart from maybe Ravenclaw..."

"Well it was mainly my fault, oh and Bella's too for loosing all of our points. But I got to admit, those points for your house, they were plentiful, congrats!" she smiled. "Hot chocolate?" she asked as she gestured to the coffee table where there sat a large kettle of hot chocolate.

"Thanks," she said, pulling off her snow covered boots as she sat down on the chair, unwrapping the scarf around her neck. "I'd love one, thanks." she said to the hot chocolate. She hadn't had hot chocolate in years, and the smell was wonderful, even from that distance.
"I'd like to take the compliment myself," she lied modestly. In fact, she hated compliments directly towards her. "But I really did very little. After all, I wasn't even here for a while."

Cheryl poured some of the delightful hot chocolate into a mug and handed it to Hannah. "Well I'm sure that without you, Hufflepuff wouldn't have won. I'm serious too. Correct me if I'm wrong, you did all the homework, right?" she asked.

She accepted the warm mug, the heat from the liquid flowing through the ceramic cup warming her hands and sending a comforting shake down her spine. She blew on the top of it, the cool air mixing with the warm to send a puff of steam into the room, disappearing almost instantly. Bliss... she thought, without even having tried it.
She smiled at Cheryl's compliment. "I have no idea where this idea of me doing homework came from." she admitted, knowing that Cheryl probably knew from the award ceremony. "I think I did a piece of homework, and that somehow made me look like the point-earner. I hate to think how badly the others did." she said, a playful smile spreading across her lips.

"Well take me for example, yes, I may have participated in class but I didn't do homework, not once!" she mumbled, "And I guess it shows with our points, I think we had 70 in the end."

She shurgged, "70 is still not that bad. You beat Slytherin and Ravenclaw." she said, remembering that there had been very little surprise there. Slytherin was the most likly to lose their points, while Ravenclaw sturggled to reach new heights beyond the high expectation of them interlectually.
She took a sip of the hot chocolate, burning her toungue as per usual. Still, it was creamy and nice, not too bitter as most were. "I can't stand homework either..."

"But you still did something right!...." she laughed. "You did win afterall! Too bad, I didn't make that bet with a Slytherin or Ravenclaw though." she shrugged, "But what are ya gonna do? Hey! I feel like having something sweet to eat. Do they have a cafeteria around here?"

She smiled and shrugged to herself. She was being overly modest and she knew it, but she was certain that she hadn't done that much work towards the house-points. She'd just been too frightened to make a mistake so she'd be told off. "You should have made a bet with every house." she suggested. "then you were almost certain to win at least once. Though this is coming from the girl which turned a teacher into a rat..." she scowled playfully, sitting upright more.
"There's a cafe over there." she said, pointing to it with a tilt of her head, "I think they sell slices of cakes and stuff. We could get some if you like."

"Now wait, if I remember correctly, didn't turn the Professor into a rat, I turned him into a rat tail. There's a difference, one is funnier!" she laughed, "He deserved it though, stupid Professor..." she paused for a moment, "Oh my god, I forget his name. Oh well, I guess it's a good thing, forgetting it. Ah yes, there is a cafe you say? Erg but I'm too lazy to get up, I had just gotten comfortable. Shall I summon over a coffee boy?" she grinned.

"Right. A rat and a rat's tail." she said in a monotonous voice. She'd never been particually impressed by Cheryl's 'pranks', finding that part of her character the hardest to put up with. She couldn't help worrying everytime Cheryl did something like that, in case she got into trouble she couldn't get herself out if. "And it was Proffessor Alexander. We'll be getting him next year too, won't we?" she added with a smile that almost made it look like she wanted Cheryl to get in trouble.
She looked for the 'coffee boy' vaguely. "If you like. I don't think I'll have anything." she said, breathing down onto the hot chocolate and making it steam up again.

"Yeah, we'll have him next year from what the sign-ups tell me. Unfortunetly, Transfiguration is a mandatory subject so I have to take it, even if I hate the teacher. Wonder what I'll turn him into this term. I just don't get what the big deal is?! I mean it's Transfiguration class and I transfigured him into rat...or rat tail whatever. Don't know why so many points were deducted...." she trailed off, not happt about the huge point reduction that happened a while back. However, she started smiling again, she never seemed to be sad, or unhappy for long amounts of time. Cheryl managed to wave down a coffee boy from across the room. When he came over Cheryl ordered a big slice of chocolate cake. "Hannah, you're sure you don't want anything? I mean if you do want something, order now while this guy is here." she told her as she pointed to the guy
