She'd never really been interested in books, but now that she didn't have her father to argue in, she found herself rather bored, and had taken up reading as a really good way to kill time. She looked down the fiction shelves, searching for something interesting to read. Seemed like every other one had something to do with romance....it sickend her. She was sick of romance, it seemed like everything was so perfect and exciting in the books...but when it came to real life, in her experience, someone always ended up getting hurt. She tried to avoid it at all costs...well, almost all costs. She knew that deep down inside, she wanted a boyfriend...just...she was picky. Finally her fingers landed on an interesting looking book, and she picked it off the shelf, reading the summary...it looked interesting enough. The Seven Songs of Merlin she read the title. She opened it, and began scanning the first chapter, not reading in depth, just scanning to see if it looked interesting.

Sometimes, life is hard. Bad things happen, and things don't go right. Hannah knew this more then most, and found it hard to find a book to read which didn't remind herself of something bad that had happened to her. Almost any romance book was out of the question. Anything with prison or insanity was also not allowed. Sometimes she wondered if she was really alive, or someone's tortured character: the things that she'd been through were too unreal to be real.
She looked through the fiction. She had no idea what to read, though. They all looked so similar. "Excuse me..." she said to the girl sitting near her, blushing as she spoke, "I don't suppose you can recommend anything? It sounds weird but... well, you really can't judge a book by its cover alone, can you?" she said, her voice shaking nervously at the cliche.

Kira looked up at the girl's question. "Well, it really depends on what you're into..." She smiled slightly and glanced back at her book as she closed it. Then she turned back to the girl..."So, what do you like to read about?" She put the book on her lap, and sighed. "I'm Kira by the way."

She smiled, mostly at the fact that this time last year she would've been too afraid to have even gone near the stranger. But a lot changes, she realised. "I'm Hannah." she told her, though she couldn't help a nervous look down as she said so. "I really don't mind what I read. I'm not so interested in cheesy lovestories, though." she admitted with a shrug, being careful to keep her voice down as they were, after all, in a library.

Kira sighed and leaned back in her chair as she thought for a minute. She was usually pretty good at recommending books, but today for some reason, she just couldn't think straight. "Well, do you like science fiction? I can name off a bunch of those right off the top of my head." It was true...she was big on sci fi and fantasy books. "Mystery too"

She shrugged her shoulders, begining to sit down oppisite Kira. "I guess so," she admitted, not really knowing quite what she liked, "I just want something different." she said, scanning the book shelf slowly as the endless names passed by. How was anyone meant to find something when there were so many? "I hope I'm not stopping you from reading. If you like, I can just look..." she said, suddenly noticing that she'd stopped reading altogether, embarressment closing in on her unusual behaviour.

Kira smiled, "Oh, that's alright. If I read it all now I'll have nothing to read when I actually want to read it." She looked at her. "Well, there's always the classics, Lord of the Rings, Starwars" She looked at the shelves infront of her. "Stuff like that."

She smiled and tilted her head to the side. Well, that was one way to look at life. "Starwars? You mean there's actually a book?" she said, looking to the shelves behind her, scanning through the names of the sci-fi novels. "I've read Lord of the Rings before. It's really amazing."
{{Can't write today >.< lol}}

Kira smiled, "Well of course there's a book!" She skanned the book shelf before taking the first book in the series off the shelf. "Here. See what you think." She handed Hannah the book, "I've never read it but the movie is awsome!"
(bleh. short...i know...rediculously short....LLOONG day.)

She took the book, but really didn't want to. "What I meant was, did they create the book before or after the films? Are the films based after this?" she thought. If it was, it might be worth a shot. After all, in her opinion, it couldn't be any worse then the film. But if it wasn't, then it would be a pointless read.

Kira mentally kicked herself Duh! outwardly she smiled, "Well, the book came way before the movie, and it's got a lot that the movie doesn't and yeah, the movies are based on the book...At least as far as I know it is" She glanced at the shelves again, skanning the titles of the many books around.

She smiled embarressedly, saying 'oh' under her breathe. She thought that she should have known that. "What are you reading now?" she asked her, trying to have a look at the front cover of kira's book.

Kira looked at her for a second, "Huh? OH! This. I'm currently reading The Seven Songs of Merlin. It's about the Merlins life before he became famous as Arther's advisor. It's one of four in a series." She smiled, "So far it's not bad."

She looked at the front cover, smiling in a daze as she barely heard what Kira was saying after she said the title, telling from the tone of her voice how she found it, and absorbing the information without really hearing. "Sounds quite good. A bit too realistic, though." she said, leaning back on her seat, "I'd kind of feel that I was.... I don't know, just... intruding if it's a real person's life."

Kira smiled. "No chance of that. It's totally fiction." She sat down in the arm chair and looked up at hannah. She glanced at her book, "It's quite exciting actually." She looked over at the shelves again, debating on whether or not she should go ahead and get the second one too...she's a fast reader.
